PORT CREDIT YACHT CLUB

C A T E R I N G  P O L I C I E S

Catering Hours                            

                                

Office Hours: Monday to Friday:
9:00am – 5:00pm
Daytime Reception: Monday to Sunday
8:00am – 5:00pm
Ceremony/Reception Functions:
3:00pm – 1:00am

Reservations:

All functions require a $500.00 deposit.  This fee is required to reserve a room for your meeting or special event.  If a function is cancelled 30 days or less prior to the event, a cancellation fee will apply whereby all deposits will be non-refundable and subject to

food costs.

Billing:

The final guest count is required 3 days (72 hours) prior to the event.  The original expected attendance would be prepared and charged should the catering office not receive a guarantee.  Payment in full is required prior to large functions with any balance outstanding to be paid upon receipt of the final invoice. 

Restrictions:

  • Nothing shall be taped, tacked or nailed to the walls.
  • All decorating and set-up of functions must be arranged with theFunction Coordinator, and must not interfere with other functions on the same day.
  • Every effort will be made to accommodate your schedule however, we can not guarantee your desired amount of time to set-up.
  • Open flame candles are not permitted. Votive candles are acceptable, as per the Fire code.
  • Aside from Wedding Cake, no food or drink is permitted within our facility.
  • We are happy to accept wedding favours, guest books, money boxes and Wedding Cakes no more than 24 hours prior to your function.  All deliveries must be given directly to a Banquet Supervisor and must be clearly marked.
  • Please note that we have a limited storage capacity and will not guarantee space for numerous/large items.
  • The Port Credit Yacht Club is located in a Residential area therefore,  the music and noise volume must be controlled to a moderate level.
  • Music must cease at 1:00 am, unless arranged otherwise.

TABLES:   

The standard tables are round and normally accommodate a maximum of ten persons.

FLOWERS:           

We would be happy to refer you to local businesses.  -Ask our Function Coordinator.

GENERAL:           

Club Policy requires that there be neither advertising nor publicity on the Club premises through any public media.  The Club’s name (in any form) may not be used without prior written approval.  Failure to appreciate these rules could result in the Club having to cancel the reservation.

PROVINCIAL SALES TAX, GST AND SERVICE CHARGE:

All food/beverage service is subject to the Provincial Sales Tax, GST and service charge.

CAPACITY:         

A buffet set-up may reduce the maximum dining/seating capacity for your function room.

Please discuss this with our Function Coordinator.

MUSICIANS:       

We would be happy to refer you to local Musicians/DJ's.  -Ask your Function Coordinator.

DISPLAYS:          

All displays and exhibits must conform to the Mississauga City Fire Code Ordinance Rules.  Under no circumstances is any of the Club’s artwork to be touched by anyone other than the staff.

BAR SERVICE:    

We do not permit the service of beverages after 1:00am.  All Entertainment must also cease at this time.

LIQUOR OTHER THAN THE CLUB’S:

No Liquor other than the Club’s licenced liquor is permitted upon the licenced premises.  The Club does not permit consumption on its premises of liquor that has not been ordered and purchased through the Club.

SET-UP:                

Function Rooms are set up as early as possible to allow the Convenor enough time to decorate for the event.  We cannot guarantee any specific amount of time however, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

ADDITIONAL RULES:

No confetti is to be thrown on the premises; the Convenor is responsible for a $150.00 janitorial charge.

Tickets of any description may not be sold on Club property.

Cigarette, Cigar and Pipe smoking is not permitted within the Club House.

Guests of a Private Function must remain with the areas booked for their event.

Prices quoted are not guaranteed past 30 days.

                               

With the exception of wedding cakes, no other food items are allowed to be brought into the Yacht Club.
