Are you looking for something different for your children (or yourself) to do in the summer?
At PCYC we can teach them (or you) how to sail.
We feature, for the very young (mature 7 - 11 years), an Optimist program. This 2 week course introduces younger children to sailing with the emphasis on fun, safety and seamanship.
For older children the club runs White, Bronze, Silver and Gold (10-16 years) learn to sail programs. These courses vary in length from 2 weeks to a month. Instruction is based on the CYA curricula which is standard across Canada.
Adults can also learn to sail in some of the above programs.
In fact we teach many people who go on to a lifetime of sailing after having been on one of our courses. Sessions for adults run 2 nights a week for 4 weeks.
Graduating students are able to race at provincial and national regattas. All of our instructors are certified by the Canadian Yachting Association. Of special note, this program is also available to non-member families.
Our 2008 schedule begins June 2 (Adults), June 30 (Youths) and runs until August 20 for the Adults and August 22 for the Youths. Book early as they fill up fast.
Please select our descriptive brochure, application form and liability waiver for both the Youth and Adult programs; alternatively, call our office at 905 278 5578 or e-mail LearnToSail@PCYC.net for all the details.
